SSC CGL 2016 Now and for future computer based
test (online examination). Tier 1 and 2 will be held online. There will be
four tiers in this examination. Tier 3 will be descriptive type test.

The final merit will be set up on overall
performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III.However, the candidate will need to
qualify all the tiers i.e.Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately.There will be
no sectional cut-off.

Competitors need to choose one
answer out of 4 decisions given. 1/4 negative marks will be deducted if wrong answer given. The
written exams are two level for non interview post while three level for

CGL SYLLABUS TIER III: Descriptive Type Paper
The candidates must note that they
need to qualify separately in three tiers. Also, the commission has notified
that there will be no sectional cut-off.
Descriptive paper of English/Hindi
as Tier - III:
- The candidates will have the option to choose any one medium
- It will be a written test, candidates are required to carry their pen along
- The exam will be based on the writing of essay/precis/letter/application writing etc
- It will carry a total of 100 marks
- The exam would be held for a duration of 60 minutes.

CGL SYLLABUS TIER IV: CPT / DEST

Marks for Interview cum Personality
Test (with the exception of non-interview posts)- 100 marks.
·
Skill Test is conducted for tax
assistant posts in Central Excise & Income Tax. CPT is conducted for
Assistants in CSS.
·
Data Entry Speed Test (DEST): speed
of data entry must be 8,000 Key Depression/hr. on Computer.
·
Data Entry Speed Skill Test at 2000
key depressions in 15 min will be tested and candidates will have to qualify it
as it will be of qualifying nature.
NOTE: Tier-I examination is for screening the candidates for Tier-II examination for various papers. Marks of Tier 1 will be counted in final selection.
